N-Fix Soil Nutrient Concentrate: Introduction
N-Fix Soil Nutrient Concentrate is a liquid solution which was first produced in the 1960’s through a process of selective biological engineering. Its origins grew from an already growing concern about the impact of major environmental problems associated with widespread artificial fertiliser and agricultural chemical use.
N-Fix Soil Nutrient Concentrate is guaranteed to restore your soil and water quality, while conserving the use of fertiliser and water resources.
N-Fix is not like seaweed and humic acid based mixtures, which are fungal food only, or worm/bacterial extracts, which act as inoculants, so providing bacterial food only.
On their own, these products tend to lock up the nutrients in the soil, just like so many artificial fertilizers.
N-Fix Soil Nutrient Concentrate stands alone as a strong protozoan, fungal and bacterial food source, and as such acts as a catalyst for many of these products by providing the key that immediately releases the nutrients stored in the microbial biomass for strong plant growth and yield.
N-Fix re-establishes the soil’s organic cycle and provides a living aerobic (air breathing) soil.
After all these years,
N-Fix Soil Nutrient Concentrate continues to have a positive impact on the environment, even with our indigenous plant life and fauna.
N-Fix Soil Nutrient Concentrate is beneficial in so many ways: restoring soil and plant health; as a seed-dressing inoculant; for transplanting, establishing and maintaining landscaped areas, trees and turf; and for achieving maximum return on yield for horticulture and broadacre users.
N-Fix Soil Nutrient Concentrate
for Landscaping and Nursery use:
N-Fix Soil Nutrient Concentrate has been used by home gardeners, landscapers and nurseries Australia-wide for over 20 years.
N-Fix is also extensively used by councils for maintenance of sports fields, trees, parks & gardens. This versatile product achieves lush garden landscapes in even the most hostile of environments.
N-Fix includes wetting agent and all the essential nutrients for sustainable growth & strong root systems.
N-Fix is suitable for all plant growth, including Australian natives, roses & other ornamentals, turf, fruit trees & vegetables.
N-Fix is so versatile to use:
- • Mixed with potting mix prior to use, to increase seedling emergence rate & quantity
- • Mixed with nutrient deficient blends (bark, etc)
- • Mixed with compost to accelerate breakdown of organic matter
- • As a drench or dipping solution for propagation of cuttings and establishment of tubestock
- • As an inoculant or stress inhibitor when transplanting to larger pots or pre-planting;
- • Can be applied by drip, sprinkler irrigation or hand-held means.
Hints for
N-Fix application with flowers:
- • When used quarterly as a soil feed, combined with a foliar application of Sabroll Leaf Nutrient at flowering stage & early bloom, flowers will greatly:
- •Improve colour
- • Initiate more even blooms
A soil application pre-planting will greatly improve:
- • root development
- • stem strength
- • foliage size.
Hints with orchids, staghorns, elkorns, etc.:
- • N-Fix solution responds very successfully to the physical structure of orchids. Epiphytes possess extensive aerial root systems with thick, porous coverings which soak up water and soluble nutrients, making them directly available to the orchid plant.
- • A spray mist of diluted N-Fix solution is especially effective when applied over the aerial roots and leaves, without the risk of root or leaf burn.
- • In soil-less mediums, apply N-Fix at pre-spike growth.
- • N-Fix contributes to prolific root growth while encouraging new growth of previously dormant roots.
- • N-Fix produces stronger, healthier plants with more colourful and longer lasting blooms.
- • N-Fix treated orchids also display a natural resistance to disease and pest attack.
Recommended Application Procedures:
Garden Maintenance Rate: apply to soil before planting or at early growth period, then every 3 months at a rate of 5 mls of
N-Fix per litre of water (double the rate for initial application). Incorporate with a light uniform watering afterwards or work it into the soil. It is advisable to repeat
N-Fix soil application during hot summer periods.
Other ‘soil’ mediums : mix 5 mls of
N-Fix to 1 litre of water with potting mix, nutrient deficient blends (bark, etc.) compost (to accelerate breakdown of organic matter), for healthy non-toxic growing medium.
Pot Plants: apply 3 mls of
N-Fix per litre of water on a regular basis.
Dip–Plant–Strike: soak seeds overnight and seedlings for at least 5 minutes in a solution of 3 mls of
N-Fix to 1 litre of water, then immediately plant out, preferably in
N-Fix treated soil. The
N-Fix treatment will reduce shock of transplanting, increases seed & plant strike rate, and aids the propagation of cuttings.
Transplanting: Pour
N-Fix solution (10 mls of
N-Fix per litre of water) into prepared hole. Place transplanted plant into this solution till taken up by soil. Fill the hole with balance of soil and lightly water the plant.
Trees: see application chart., or
download
Turf: apply
N-Fix at special rate of 10 mls per litre of water, particularly when overdressing or for spot treatment.
Vegetables Gardens: see application chart, or
download
Foliar Feed: For best results, apply Sabroll Leaf Nutrient at a rate of 3 to 5 mls per litre of water. Mist over foliage for maximum gloss / photosynthesis, strong flowering and greater protection from disease and pest infestation.
Features:
- • easy & safe to apply
- • increases soil’s ability to convert nitrogeN-Fixing bacteria within the soil into readily available plant food
- • provides a strong protozoan, bacterial & fungal food source
- • increases total & active bacterial & fungal biomass (microbial activity)
Benefits:
- • increases soil respiration rate (decomposition of organic matter & greater oxygen flow)
- • balances the pH, without need for lime or other buffers
- • increases water infiltration (greater root penetration)
- • aids plants in water-logged conditions
- • physically combines soil particles & aggregates
- • organic matter readily decomposes into plant food, storing & cycling nutrients in the soil
- • greatly increases resistance to pest and plant disease
